BJP spokesperson accuses Congress of supporting Pakistan, jihadis, and terrorists

“It is now becoming clear that Congress’ hand is with Pakistanis, Jihadis and terrorists. When the support came from Pakistan, the process to give a clean chit to Pakistan has started,” Poonawalla alleged at a press conference.

The political discourse in the country took an acrimonious turn today as BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla launched a blistering attack on the Congress party, accusing it of receiving support from Pakistan and being hand-in-glove with “Jihadis and terrorists”.

“It is now becoming clear that Congress’ hand is with Pakistanis, Jihadis and terrorists. When the support came from Pakistan, the process to give a clean chit to Pakistan has started,” Poonawalla alleged at a press conference.

He went on to name several Congress leaders including Vijay Wadettiwar, Shashi Tharoor, Charanjit Channi, and Punjab Congress chief Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, accusing them of supporting Pakistan’s narrative.

“They are doing this because of their hatred towards the BJP. Only because of their vote bank and appeasement politics, they are supporting Pakistan. Pakistan wants Congress to win in the election,” the BJP spokesperson charged.

Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Monday accused the grand old party of receiving support from Pakistan and alleging that foreign powers influence its manifesto.

Speaking to the media in Himachal Pradesh’s Una district, Thakur stated, “The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) never believes in politics in times of disaster and emergencies. However, the Congress party has stooped so low that it is doing politics in such matters as well.”

He went on to applaud Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government for its proactive role during the recent devastating floods and rains in Himachal Pradesh.

Targeting Rahul Gandhi, Thakur told PTI, “First, he ran from Amethi to Wayanad, and now he is contesting from Rae Bareli, and the Congress is sure to be wiped out from Rae Bareli also.”

He further claimed the Congress was living in a fool’s paradise of “winning the elections on false promises” and said the party’s dreams will be shattered after the polling results are announced on June 4.
