Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi meets Mauritania’s Foreign Affairs Minister Mohamed Salem Ould Merzouk in Beijing ahead of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, a prominent member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, held a crucial meeting with Mohamed Salem Ould Merzouk, the Foreign Affairs Minister of Mauritania. Minister Merzouk travelled to Beijing to participate in the 10th ministerial meeting of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum, underscoring the significance of diplomatic engagement between China and Arab nations.

The meeting between Minister Wang Yi and his Mauritanian counterpart served as an opportunity to strengthen bilateral ties and discuss key issues of mutual interest. Both leaders emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation between China and Mauritania within the framework of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum, which plays a vital role in promoting dialogue, understanding, and collaboration between China and Arab countries.
