The foreign ministers of Egypt, Jordan, and Iraq convened on Saturday to discuss strategies for boosting collaboration among the three nations across various economic and political domains.
The meeting, hosted by Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sameh Shoukry, brought together Ayman Al-Safadi, Jordan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, and Fuad Hussein, Iraq’s Minister of Foreign Affairs. The gathering took place at the Permanent Mission of Egypt to the United Nations in New York, coinciding with the 78th session of the UN General Assembly.
This meeting marks a follow-up to a summit held in Baghdad in June 2021, as per the announcement by the Egyptian foreign ministry on Sunday.
