India’s Chief of Army Staff General Manoj Pande initiates transformation for optimal operational readiness

Chief of Army Staff, General Manoj Pande, declared on Thursday that the Indian Army is undergoing a significant transformation to enhance operational preparedness. Speaking at the Reunion and Commemoration parade of the Bombay Sappers War Memorial Centenary in Pune, Maharashtra, General Pande outlined a comprehensive roadmap for this transformation.

Highlighting the crucial issue of integrating Agniveers into Army regiments and units, General Pande emphasized the special attention given to this process. He acknowledged the historical significance of the Bombay Sappers, recognizing their valour, sacrifice, and contributions in various domains, including the battlefield, peacetime, sports, and nation-building activities.
