Jordan has strongly denounced the violations and provocative actions carried out by Israeli radicals, which include the storming of Al Aqsa Mosque/Al Haram Al Sharif and Islamic cemeteries under the protection of Israeli forces.
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Sinan Majali stated that these ongoing provocative acts at Al Aqsa Mosque, coupled with frequent escalations, constitute a clear and unacceptable breach of international law, as well as the historical and legal status quo in Jerusalem and its holy sites. Majali emphasized that these violations, along with Israeli incursions into occupied Palestinian territories, could lead to further escalation and represent a dangerous approach that must be stopped immediately.
The spokesperson called upon Israel, the occupying power, to cease all such practices and violations against Al Aqsa Mosque and to show respect for its sanctity. He reiterated that the mosque, covering an area of 144 dunums, is an exclusive place of worship for Muslims.
Majali issued a warning against the continuation of these violations and emphasized the importance of respecting the Jordan-run Jerusalem Awqaf and Aqsa Affairs Department as the sole authority responsible for overseeing the site’s affairs and entry.
