The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) recently organized its second knowledge-sharing seminar in collaboration with the KOICA Alumni Association of Jordan (KAAJ). The seminar primarily focused on the KOICA fellowship program and the enhancement of capacity in vocational training policies and systems.
During the event, the Vocational Training Corporation (VTC) and the Technical and Vocational Skills Development Commission (TVSDC) had the opportunity to share their valuable experiences from a training program held in the Republic of Korea from July 30 to August 11, 2023. Both organizations highlighted the significance of the program and how they intend to utilize the acquired skills to enhance their respective institutions and Jordan’s vocational training system.
The seminar drew participation from seventy individuals representing various government institutions, including the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Agriculture, VTC, and TVSDC.
KOICA has been actively providing training to Jordanian officials as part of the Capacity Improvement and Advancement for Tomorrow (CIAT) program since 1991. This initiative aims to bolster human resource capacity to further Jordan’s socio-economic development. Over the years, a total of 1,016 Jordanian officials have taken part in training programs in Korea. In 2023, approximately 50 new participants are expected to engage in similar training programs in Korea, strengthening bilateral cooperation.
