According to Serhiy Popko, the commander of the city’s military administration, Kyiv suffered a massive missile attack this morning that resulted in at least 40 injuries and four deaths. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s earlier statements, which had initially stated that over ten injuries had occurred, were contradicted by an update on Telegram this afternoon, underscoring the gravity of the situation.
According to Popko’s most recent briefing, the capital has suffered a terrible cost, with a wide range of people injured. A pregnant lady is one of the victims, underscoring the attack’s indiscriminate nature. The emotional toll on the people of the city was highlighted by Vitalii Klitschko, the mayor of Kyiv, as he expressed his sincere compassion for the affected.
Emergency reaction teams have been forced to quickly mobilise as a result of the missile attacks. Rescue operations are in progress to determine the accurate extent of the damage and to assist individuals who have been injured. The relatives have not yet been notified, thus the deceased’s identities have not been made public.
President Zelenskyy assured the people that all reasonable steps would be carried out to deal with the fallout and acknowledged the seriousness of the incident.
