This strategic move, occurring just half a year after the initial deployment of 5G, underscores the Indian government’s unwavering dedication to rapid technological advancement in the country.

Outlined in the comprehensive 6G vision document by the government, is a roadmap for the 6G technology which promises unparalleled features such as ultra-low latency and mind-boggling speeds of up to 1 terabit per second—surpassing 5G’s capabilities by an impressive factor of 1,000. This technological leap is anticipated to unlock new realms of possibilities, particularly in artificial intelligence, robotics, and the rising metaverse.

Sixth-generation wireless technology, which is also known as 6G, aspires to bring in revolutionary improvements in communication technology, setting the stage for unprecedented advancements in speed, latency, and connectivity.

The most important advantage of 6G is its commitment to delivering ultra-high speeds. Its advancement in latency minimizes delays in data transmission, catering to the demands of applications that rely on real-time responsiveness.
