Prime Minister Modi hails Union Budget as foundation for India’s development

Central to the budget’s provisions is the empowerment of the middle class, whom the Prime Minister hailed as a significant force in propelling India towards prosperity and development.

In a televised address following the presentation of the Union Budget, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the fiscal plan as pivotal in laying the groundwork for a developed India. Emphasizing its significance, he dubbed it as the “first budget of Amrit Kaal,” referring to the 25 years between the 75th year of independence and its centenary. The Prime Minister expressed confidence that this budget would prioritize the marginalized sections of society, contributing to the realization of their aspirations.

Modi stated that the Vishvakarmas, regarded as the creators of the nation, have historically contributed to its advancement through their toil. He noted that, for the first time, the budget has integrated schemes aimed at their training and support. Modi emphasized that the PM Vishvakarma Kaushal Samman symbolizes development and will usher in a substantial transformation in the lives of millions of Vishwakarmas.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the government’s commitment to empowering women, both in rural and urban areas. He cited various initiatives tailored to ease the lives of women, including the promotion of women’s self-help groups and the introduction of special savings schemes aimed at bolstering financial independence within households.
