Saudi Arabia Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Enhances Bilateral Relations with Tunisia

The purpose of Minister Alkhorayef’s visit was to lead a Saudi Arabia delegation in the 11th session of the Saudi-Tunisian Joint Committee in Tunis.

The Saudi Arabia Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar bin Ibrahim Alkhorayef, paid a visit to Tunisia to strengthen the ties between the two nations. During his stay, Minister Alkhorayef held a significant meeting with Tunisian President Kais Saied at the Carthage Presidential Palace, signifying a crucial step in enhancing bilateral relations.

Additionally, he held discussions with Abdelmonem Belati, the Minister of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Fisheries of Tunisia, with a focus on expanding Saudi-Tunisian collaboration. They also addressed the possibility of formalizing a memorandum of understanding in the field of water resources.

Moreover, he met with Kalthoum Ben Rejeb, the Minister of Trade and Export Development, to explore opportunities for increasing bilateral trade volume and boosting Saudi non-oil exports to Tunisia.

In addition, Alkhorayef held talks with Ahlam Al-Baji Al-Sayeb, the chief-of-staff of Tunisia’s Ministry of Industry, Mines, and Energy, to explore ways of enhancing collaboration in the industry and mining sectors. They also deliberated on potential joint investments involving the private sectors of both countries.
