Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan assumes charge as the Vice Chief of Naval Staff

Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan, AVSM, VSM, has recently taken over as the Vice Chief of the Naval Staff, marking a significant milestone in his naval career. On the 1st of May 2024, he assumed this role, succeeding Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, who was appointed as the Navy Chief the day before. Swaminathan, a distinguished alumnus of prestigious institutions such as the National Defence Academy, Khadakvasla, and the United States Naval War College, Newport, Rhode Island, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new position.
